Peter Pran is a Norwegian-born ,internationally recognized architect. He apprenticed with the legendary Mies van der Rohe on the Chicago Federal Center and the Berlin National Gallery among other projects before launching his own distinguished career. He calls himself a New Modernist, rejecting historicism as "not recognizing our own time". His own designs are characterized by site-specific content and a poetic feeling of movement as well as an  inherent sense of freedom.

He relates how he shaped his career to achieve the degree of world-wide acclaim that he has received, demonstrating the skills he has learned through a wide variety of projects.

Pran has taught continuously for over 20 years as Professor of Architecture at universities in the United States, Italy and Japan
